Charlton manager Lee Bowyer given three-match touchline ban

Charlton manager Lee Bowyer says he is”disappointed and surprised” to have been provided a three-match touchline ban after admitting a charge of improper conduct on comments he made to a referee.
Bowyer was charged when his side squandered an early lead and the Swans moved of the table after episodes which occurred during and following Charlton’s 2-1 defeat to Swansea on October 2.
He was miserable in his side not being granted a penalty but, talking after the match, seemed to take it as”one of those things”.
Following the FA supported the ban, Bowyer told Charlton’s official website:”I am surprised and frustrated with the ban.
“I didn’t yell or swear in my conversation with the Army but it is what it really is. My focus remains on ensuring we’re ready for Saturday’s match against Derby County.”
That game is going to be the first of the suspension, with Bowyer to be missing out of the dugout for accessories away at Bristol City and West Brom.
He’s also been fined #4,000.
