Agent arrested amid probe into Aleksandar Mitrovic transfer to Newcastle from Anderlecht

Agent Christophe Henrotay has been detained in Monaco as part of the investigation into corruption and money laundering in participant transfers, according to AFP.
A judicial source verified to this information bureau in April that Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 2015 change from Anderlecht into Newcastle for #13m is among these transfers under evaluation.
Brussels prosecutors have verified that raids took place in Monaco, Belgium and London and also that two individuals were arrested.
Belgian police cooperated with British counterparts and their Monaco, resulting in the arrest of the agent in Monaco, and prosecutors verified the assistant of the agent was detained in Belgium’s Wallonia region, in the Liege region.
Brussels prosecutors said the raids are linked to a first wave of hunts in April, when Belgian police probed the offices of also the Belgian Football Association and Anderlecht.
No arrests were made in April and, according to AFP, researchers are now focusing on the agent Henrotay, whose customers include Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Belgium nationwide group winger Yannick Carrasco.
Four of this week’s raids have been with the collaboration of the Metropolitan Police and indigenous traditions and sales officials, in Monaco, two in Belgium and one in London, according to AFP.
This circumstance isn’t related to the corruption scandal that dissipates Belgian football when authorities carried out 57 police raids from the country and around Europe at a research to match-fixing and fraud.
Mitrovic, 24, spent three years before joining Fulham initially on loan and then in 2018, in which he remains and signed a new contract at the Championship club.
