Europe’s Charley Hull feels house fans will”esteem” United States players at the Solheim Cup following American Danielle Kang said she expects to be booed.
Kang, 26, roused the home fans to the first tee Iowa at the 2017 match.
“I was told personally I was going to be booed,” said Kang. “It is OK. It’s possible to boo me. I’m excited to hear sound, whatever that may be.”
When asked about possible booing inside this week’s games, Hull, 23, said:”I think that they’ll find a warm welcome.”
Hull, who is making her fourth largest Solheim Cup appearance, added:”Everyone is pretty honest, particularly in Scotland, the home of golf. I feel everyone will be respectful.”
The 16th edition of the Solheim Cup, which pits Europe from the US every 2 decades, begins at Gleneagles, Scotland on Friday.
Kang won as the US won 16 1/2 -11 1/2 2 decades ago three points out of four matches.
She invited the audience to improve their noise levels in support when she walked to the first tee.
“It had been top notch for me personally,” she explained. “The reality we were on US soil made it simpler and I heard all the’USA’ chants.
“I’m loud whether I’m in Nevada or at Scotland. I really don’t believe I change. I am definitely going to adopt the very first tee.
“I hear I’m likely to be booed at one stage, so make it all around. You may boo me if I hit a fairway because they will clap out there. I like to have audiences.
“I really don’t know if they are likely to get it done. Whatever occurs, I don’t really listen to it. And plus, they have an accent, so I’m not sure it’s going to even come outside as b-o-o.”
