Gordon Lord Byron ready for his race at Haydock

If he could claim top honours in a race named in his honor at Haydock on Thursday gordon Lord Byron can bring down the house.
Tom Hogan’s veteran counts Group One wins one of his 16 career victories, such as what his trainer considers was a career-best operation in the Sprint Cup at the Merseyside place.
Gordon Lord Byron came home from the compatriot Slade Power that was top-class. The following March, he moved on to claim his most recent top notch success in Australia.
It has been a while between drinks for the favorite Irish challenger since he’s not managed to get his head in front since landing the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh in May 2017 – however, he has run several fine races in defeat so far this year.
“Thursday’s race would be Gordon Lord Byron’s 103rd beginning, it’s a fairytale,” said Hogan.
“Gordon Lord Byron has raced all around the world – Australia, Hong Kong, France and the United Arab Emirates, but winning the Sprint Cup at Haydock Park at 2013 was his best performance.
“He enjoys it there.”
Gordon Lord Byron is the highest-rated horse in a field of two runners for its seven-furlong Gordon Lord Byron EBF Requirements.
To add attention, the 11-year-old will be ridden by Frankie Dettori for the very first time.
Discussing on the Haydock site, Hogan included:”This is a very lovely gesture by Haydock to put on this race, so they’re wonderful people there.
“I carry him into the shore most weeks, it’s a 100 miles journey in where I train, but it’s worth it because he loves the sea and sand under his hooves.
“He gets five-star treatment and it is about keeping him happy and content.”
If Gordon Lord Byron emerge triumphant on his return it could be viewed to bring down the curtain .
His County coach insists retirement not on his head.
He said:”He really enjoys his lifetime – and I really don’t find any reason why he won’t remain in training next year”
The ministry of this course Kirkland Tellwright of haydock is excited about welcoming his connections and Gordon Lord Byron back .
He explained:”Gordon Lord Byron’s career is heartwarming and we’re pleased to have been part of it at Haydock Park.
“Having also been second at the Sprint Cup at 2012 and 2014, he came close to equalling the list of Be Favorable, who is the only horse to have won the Sprint Cup twice.
“His album is listened to his class and durability and also to Tom Hogan’s skilful handling of the horse.”
