I’d be rubbing my hands and believing what a fantastic opportunity I’ve got this season if I was Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers.
The teams who are ordinarily in the chasing bunch have got significant issues, while Liverpool and Manchester City are miles ahead of everybody else on top of the table.
The Foxes will be the’best of the rest’ at the moment in position, and they need to be thinking they’re able to remain there.
From what we have observed up to now the six and rodgers targeted, his negative not just have a likelihood of making itthe best four is a possibility for them.
They shouldn’t be scared of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or even Tottenham, as their current performances have shown us there is nothing to dread.
Leicester played when they dropped to United last week. However, they showed their attributes if they deserved the three points and beat Tottenham on Saturday.
The Spurs team of mauricio Pochettino are having a difficult time at the moment, especially away from home – they have not handled a league triumph on the road since January.
Tottenham have led by a goal at half-time inside their past three away games – against Arsenal, Olympiakos and the Foxes – but failed to win some of these, which informs you they have a flair about them that they do not look able to put directly.
They had a fantastic season last time out, reaching the Champions League final and producing the best four of the Premier League for a fourth consecutive year under Pochettino – however they still appear a long way from reaching the next level and lifting a serious title challenge.
Arsenal showed good character to return from 2-1 down to beat Aston Villa with 10 men on Sunday but that win does not disguise the truth that they have got problems defensively.
It isn’t just their own back-line at fault, since their midfield does not have but they are all around the place.
Chelsea, who have not kept a clean sheet in eight games this season, are at a similar boat.
They demonstrated that they will score goals and take a risk but for manager Frank Lampard , they always seem like conceding them.
A whole great deal of the players are naive and young, therefore you are going to get a great deal of inconsistency from them and that’s costing them aims.
They’ll add some excellent performances – such as they did in their defeat with their win over Wolves and Liverpool on Sunday weekend, however they will not always get the correct results because of their inexperience.
At Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs put on the weekend – Manchester United did not even manage a lot of that in their dismal defeat.
Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was very favorable when he confronted the media later, but he has to be aware of exactly how bad his team were.
I understand why they were defended against by him because he has any young players and he doesn’t want to destroy their faith by criticising them but I believe he will say different things independently.
They had been poor all inducing fight in addition to any ingenuity, urgency or ignite from attack. It was just unacceptable.
It is clear that a gamble was taken by United if they sold striker Romelu Lukaku and asked players who are untried or unproven goalscorers to replace him.
Marcus Rashford has talent, however he has a lot of improving to do. Mason Greenwood has enormous potential, but it’s a big ask for him personally to lead the assault of United at age 17.
Greenwood ill and Together with Anthony Martial hurt, they did not have a recognized to substitute Rashford when he limped off after one hour at London Stadium on Sunday.
I have some sympathy for Rashford, who failed to score in open play to the sixth consecutive match this season, as it would not give me great hope of becoming 25 or 30 targets if I had been playing that group – but he has to help himself also.
We don’t understand if the 21-year-old will end up as as a centre-forward, however when he will be a top-class striker having a killer instinct then his motion in the box needs to grow dramatically, and he needs to learn how to score the horrible aims too.
United’s squad is lacking from midfield as well as front, something that was highlighted by their seat on Sunday if they sent to Jesse Fred Lingard and Angel Gomes to try to save some point.
But Solskjaer must find some more imagination from somewhere, so it’s vital that he gets out of Paul Pogba when the France midfielder returns to fitness.
Teams on the break are currently sitting and hitting, but in addition they need to discover a means to break down the sides that defend themselves.
We watched them fight to do that when they lost at home and it had been just the same against the Hammers, that did not give space off and were well organised.
It is nice if playing on the rest is United’s program A, but what are they likely to do when that does not do the job?
The 1 consolation for him is that some of the other big clubs are fighting too, although we have not seen anything to indicate that Solskjaer has found a response yet.
