Hull KR captain Joel Tomkins has ban extended to two matches after failed appeal

Hull KR have dropped their appeal from Joel Tomkins’ prohibit, and the team captain has his suspension.
The international was supplied a penalty see from the Rugby Football League’s match-review board for a standard A offence of hitting during Rovers’ home overcome by London Broncos last Friday.
An appeals panel on Tuesday day not just rejected his charm, but pitched the punishment, although KR were confident of getting the decision . Tomkins was also struck with a fine plus the loss of a bond that was # 500.
The former Wigan back rower will miss the match against Salford Red Devils which could decide the Super League future of KR, and also his ban will be hauled into the closing season.
Rovers are one of four clubs secured on 20 points and at risk of relegation going into the final form of the Super League season.
It is the time Tomkins was made to miss an important game this year.
He was ruled by A one-match prohibit from his team’s Challenge Cup quarter-final from Warrington in May.
On this occasion, Hull KR owner Neil Hudgell explained the ban for a crusher tackle as”selective justice” and accused the RFL’s disciplinary panel of”making it up as they go together”.
The governing body responded with a robust defence of its own judicial process, insisting the people involved with the disciplinary process”all deliver substantial expertise”.
