Steve Clarke urges Scotland to learn from Russia defeat against San Marino

As they prepare to face Group I minnows San 33, steve Clarke has advocated his Scotland side not to live in their 4-0 defeat but to instead learn the harsh lessons.
Scotland are in the group using just six points entering Sundays round of matches, 12 points behind Russia plus a further three points adrift of Belgium.
That leaves Clarkes side determined by making it to Euro 2020 through the area they earnt after an effective National League competition, rather than the European Qualifiers.
The game against bottom team San Marino – yet to register a goal, let alone a stage during qualification – has come at the right time and Clarke needs his players to turn into a favorable performance in front of their home fans at Hampden Park, live on Sky Sports.
We are just seeking to get over the disappointment of the other night and get ready for our second game, explained Clarke.
Whats gone is gone, we have to learn out of it. I think in adversity you constantly find out more sometimes than when things are positive.
So we must learn those lessons, stay together as a group and we must turn the corner and what better way to turn the corner compared to the match tomorrow night.
Clarke has verified as he looks to relive several areas of his squad Sunderland goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin will begin in place of David Marshall.
One which will be a definite change – plus it turned out to be a pre-planned change – David Marshall will change and Jon McLaughlin may perform with, added Clarke.
I require another goalkeeper with much additional caps, longer expertise to perform. This was always intended.
