NBA TV’s Summer League coverage — the first opportunity to see many of the NBA’s top rookies in action — will feature 50 live game telecasts in 13 days starting Monday, July 1. The network’s program — including live match telecasts from all three Summer League locations — will comprise the anticipated first look at many of those 2019 NBA Draft course. Live game coverage on NBA TV will tip-off around July 1 with three matches, such as the Cleveland Cavaliers — who drafted Darius Garland with the No. 5 selection — confronting the San Antonio Spurs and recently drafted Luka Samanic at 7 p.m. Live event coverage will include 10 match telecasts from the Sacramento Kings’ California Classic Summer League and also the 2019 Utah Jazz Summer League — five from every location — held from July 1-4. Golden 1 Center at Sacramento will sponsor the California Classic Summer League, while the Utah Jazz Summer League matches will be held in the group’s Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. NBA TV will feature back-to-back tripleheader times of live game action from Sacramento and Utah on Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, followed by a four-game report on Wednesday, July 3. The matchup between New Orleans Pelicans ahead Zion Williamson and New York Knicks guard-forward RJ Barrett — 2 of the top three picks in NBA Draft 2019 presented by State Farm — highlights the 11-day, 83-game schedule for MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019 at Las Vegas. Williamson along with the Pelicans confront Barrett and the Knicks on Friday, July 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Each MGM Resorts NBA Summer League match will broadcast live on television for the second consecutive year, with ESPN networks and NBA TV combining to televise a record amount of matches. Williamson, the No. 1 pick in NBA Draft 2019 introduced by State Farm, returns on Saturday, July 6 to face Rui Hachimura along with the Washington Wizards at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN. Hachimura became the initial Japanese-born player chosen in the first round by an NBA team when the Wizards chose him ninth in NBA Draft 2019. Williamson will also take on the Chicago Bulls and fellow top-10 select Coby White on Monday, July 8, at 9:30 p.m. on NBA TV. MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019, that comprises all 30 NBA teams along with the Chinese and Croatian National Teams, will steer clear of 10 games on July 5 and continue through Monday, July 15 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The first day of action will comprise five matches on NBA TV plus also a tripleheader on ESPN. NBA TV’s on-site commentators at Las Vegas will consist of analysts Brendan Haywood, Caron Butler, Steve Smith, Isiah Thomas, Sam Mitchell and eight-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter, who will serve as a guest analyst for the network for the fourth straight year. Allie LaForce, Dennis Scott, Stephanie Ready, Ro Parrish, Ledlow and Greenberg will serve as reporters. NBA TV’s signature studio series, NBA GameTime, will feature live episodes following every day’s last game of the night, July 5-15, focusing on the most recent player moves and absolutely free agent buzz, plus game highlights and information from Summer League. Casey Stern, Winer, Kamla and Chris Miles will rotate hosting duties, alongside analysts Wes Wilcox, Tony Delk, Rex Chapman and Antonio Daniels.
