NBA Pacific Division Betting Odds: Clippers and Lakers Jousting for Top Spot

In what is seen as the toughest division in the NBA, the Pacific Division will likely soon be one to follow all year and it’s the revamped Los Angeles Clippers who would be the favorites to take the crown.
Online sportsbook BetOnline gets got the Clippers as -140 faves following the Golden State Warriors were in the very top for five seasons to win the Pacific Division. The team on the listing is the Los Angeles Lakers in +200, followed closely by the Warriors in +425, the Sacramento Kings in +5500 along with the lowly Phoenix Suns in +25000.
If they obtained LeBron James and Chris Bosh the Clippers might have experienced the most splashy offseason to get a team since the Miami Heat in 2010. The Clips have as much roster depth that can pay dividends for an 82-game year round and still have arguably among the five greatest players in the NBA in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.
That said I really don’t think this team was assembled with the season in mind. Kawhi will still be on load direction for back-to-backs and George will be very likely to miss the first month of this season as he recovers from shoulder operation that is dual.
I’m not ignoring them to acquire the Pacific Division but with so much competition in the West, they need to get off to stave off Kings, Warriors and the Lakers.
The term”a house of cards” comes to mind with the Lakers since they’re so top-heavy in talent and when one top player will get hurt, the entire team excels. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the best duo in the NBA but the injury concerns with Davis make it hard to feel good about Los Angeles in +200.
LeBron will be motivated to acquire this season to a top playoff seed and the Lakers did add some bits to complement his style that is playing. Jared Dudley, danny Green, Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo are a supporting cast compared to the young guns the Lakers were rolling together with final year.
They’re already coping with injuries with Kyle Kuzma and Davis hurt his thumb. They’re the favorites to win the NBA Championship but I am not certain winning the Pacific Division is a leading priority as far as trying to simply make it into the postseason.
My sneaky decide to win the Conference and to win the Pacific Division, I am very bullish on the Warriors to come back with a vengeance this year.
They still have the best shot of all time in Stephen Curry and one of the greatest players in the league together with all Draymond Green. Now, they’ve got a playmaker in D’Angelo Russell to shoulder likewise some bench that was interesting and a few of their responsibilities pieces.
One of the knocks on the Warriors in recent years was that their lack of roster thickness. Well, Willie Cauley-Stein Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson’s improvements are going to rejuvenate some of the sluggishness. Steve Kerr will not need to do much to inspire a team that is regarded as an underdog for the first time in 3 seasons. +425 is a great price.
A group that has not won the Pacific Division since the 2002-2003 season, it is difficult to imagine a situation where the Kings make the match, let alone win the division.
The Kings are must-see TV to get a basketball fan due to their kind of play is infectious. They possess shooters all through the roster also push on the ball but the knock them is the fact that they don’t actually play any and shield.
The Kings were a team in the NBA in points allowed per game and allowed the competitor rebounds per game. He offers nothing on the offensive end although they signed facility Dewayne Dedmon to help curb that issue. The Kings are a fun group to root for and they might even make the playoffs but with the competition within this division, they’re outgunned.
The following season, another season wondering what the hell would be the Phoenix Suns. They had point guard assist so they drafted Ty Jerome from the Virginia Cavaliers and signed a below-average shot from the Jazz in Ricky Rubio. But when they hailed Cameron Johnson out of UNC that is what made me understand the Suns have.
Unless there is massive improvement by Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker, phoenix will be in the base of the Western Conference. Booker will light up the scoreboard but the Suns have??needed to conceal him on the defensive side of the ball.
Following the break, both Booker’s along with Ayton numbers dropped across the board. The key additions for the Suns has been Rubio along with Dario Saric, that I believe will help distribute the ground to provide Ayton some room to work in the paint but it won’t matter this year.
Odds as of October 17
