Hull KR captain Joel Tomkins has ban extended to two matches after failed appeal

Hull KR have dropped their appeal against Joel Tomkins’ prohibit, along with the club captain has his suspension.
The prior was provided a one-match penalty notice from the Rugby Football League’s match-review panel for a pattern A offence of hitting during Rovers’ home defeat by London Broncos.
An appeals board on Tuesday evening not only rejected his appeal, but awakened the punishment, although KR were confident of finding the decision overturned. Tomkins was hit by a #500 fine plus the loss of a bond.
The former Wigan back rower will miss the match against Salford Red Devils that could determine KR’s Super League future, and his prohibit is going to likely be carried over into the season.
Rovers are among four clubs secured on 20 points and at risk of relegation moving into the final round of the Super League season.
It is the next time Tomkins has been made to miss an important match this year.
He was ruled by A one-match ban from his group’s Challenge Cup quarter-final at May from Warrington.
On that occasion, Hull KR owner Neil Hudgell described the ban for a crusher handle as”selective justice” and accused of the RFL’s disciplinary panel of”making it up as they go together”.
