Figuring out of position on a couple of occasions in the first half although his overlapping runs proved to be a source of danger for Southgate’s men – as shown by the simple fact that he had more touches of the ball.

Quiet in the first half compared to Sterling, but enjoyed more of the ball demonstrating outstanding pace to win the punishment for the next goal of England and producing some fine passes. Moved following Kane’s withdrawal to the centre however had couple of openings.
