Wheelchair sprinter Samantha Kinghorn has been Appointed in the Great Britain squad for the World Para Athletics Championships.
The Sky Sports Scholar will be searching for more glory throughout the championships which operate between November 7-15 in London following her 100m and 200m gold and 400m bronze . She won 200m bronze in Doha.
Other world champions in the squad include Stef Reid, Hollie Arnold, Sophie Hahn, Aled Davies, Jonnie Peacock, Richard Whitehead, Kadeena Cox, Sophie Kamlish and world champion Hannah Cockroft.
Jumper and former Sky Scholar and sprinter Olivia Breen may aspire to repeat her success that is gold .
After struggling through summer time with health issues, kinghorn, will sprint from the T53 100m & Universal 4x100m relay and coached by Ian Mirfin, is desperate for more awards.
But following a gruelling couple of weeks on the training course, she is in good spirits and said:”This season has been a tough one for me personally but I am so thrilled to be yanking on that GB vest for these championships.
“This will be my third World Championships in my career that’s simply awesome. I will be pushing myself hard to find the best possible outcome.”
GB Para Athletics head trainer, Paula Dunn added:”The occasion is an integral competition in the cycle and the final opportunity to take on the best on the planet in a worldwide championship before Tokyo.
“I am really eager to see this team performs in 2 weeks. We are not complacent, although we appreciated our finest world championships in the greatest edition of the event in London just two decades before.
“Para Athletics is ever evolving and athletes from all nations have continued to increase since then. I expect our staff to step-up and show their capability on the global stage.”
