Jordan Pickford – 7
A quiet day for the Everton man, but he’d make one save soon after the breakup, downing a Marcelinho chance to prevent a Bulgaria equaliser. He landed Harry Maguire in trouble with one loose pass afterwards in the half, however, responded with athletically tipping the over the bar.
Kieran Trippier – 7
Figuring out of position over a couple of events in the first half although his overlapping runs were a real source of risk for Southgate’s guys – as shown by the simple fact he had more touches of the ball.
Michael Keane – 7
Preferred into Tyrone along with Joe Gomez Mings along with Maguire at the heart of England’s defence. Booked in the first half to get a struggle on Marcelinho, but fared well overall.

Like Trippier, his Tottenham team-matethat he got ahead well and induced Bulgaria issues. With the majority of Bulgaria’s greatest minutes coming down the flank he didn’t shirk his defensive duties, possibly. Booked for a marginally challenge in the final stages.
Declan Rice – 8
Merely his appearance for England side but already seems at home at the midfield of Southgate. Showed defensive awareness in front of the back four, making neater and more interceptions than any of the team-mates. Completed 95 of the 98 passes.
Jordan Henderson – 6
Didn’t do much wrong despite playing as the most innovative midfielder sometimes of England, but didn’t offer either. Connected sweetly with one Rose cross in the first half but his effort flew wide. Replaced by Mason Mount midway through the second halfof the
Ross Barkley – 8
Born some eye-catching moments of ability, finishing five star over the duration of the 90 minutes and creating four scoring chances. Not everything came – there were groans from the audience if he over-hit one move at the second half – but he tried to make things happen.
Raheem Sterling – 9
England’s most dangerous player in the first half simply unable to keep up with him. Showed great expectation to intercept the loose pass of Plamen Iliev and tee the opener of Harry Kane, and was then in the perfect place at the ideal time when his team-mate returned the favour following the rest.
Marcus Rashford – 7
Quiet in the first half compared to Sterling, but enjoyed more of the ball showing pace to win the punishment for the second goal of England and producing some fine passes. Moved following the withdrawal of Kane into the midst but had few openings.
Harry Kane – 9
England hero. Alert to start the scoring from the cut-back of Sterling and completed his hat-trick using two excellent penalties from the second halfof the Played a part in Sterling’s purpose, intercepting a Bulgaria pass before providing the assist and charging forward.
Mason Mount – 6
His sole shot on goal flew wide and high, although showed plenty of endeavour buzzing across the Bulgaria half.
Jadon Sancho – 6
Showed flashes of the skill but didn’t have a large quantity of time to make an effect. Wasted one chance with a minute of bad control.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6
A time for the Liverpool man because he left his first England appearance since March 2018, but little time to make an impression on the sport.
