OCEAN CASINO’S WILLIAM HILL SPORTSBOOK HAS THE ‘BIG-TIME SPORTSBOOK FEEL’ OF VEGAS

The start of the NFL season is really close, with preseason games kicking off at this weekend, we can taste it.
You’ll find, in reality, 11 preseason games Thursday, and it is a sure bet that all the New Jersey sports will take action on them. However, where are you planning to watch the game? Maybe at a sportsbook, but which one? You’ll find 10 of these after all.
Eight of these 10 are at Atlantic City. Along with the AC sportsbooks are gearing to their very first complete season of gridiron action.
I’ll be reviewing each of those novels designs, features, and amenities. The focus of today is that the William Hill Sports Book in Ocean Casino Resort.
Speech: 500 Boardwalk, Atlantic City 08401
Though it was called Ocean Resort Casino ocean Casino Resort started in June 2018. It replaced. But because the construction itself was recently built, the remodel has been fast.
In reality, it’s so new it still gets the”new vehicle look and smell” to it. Ocean’s location makes it the last property in just a brief stroll from the Boardwalk entrance to Hard Rock AC and the north of the Boardwalk. Everything about this property is new.
As the casino’s launching paralleled the overturn of PASPA’s time, the William Hill sportsbook fits seamlessly and naturally into the flow of the design of the overall casino space. It is definitely not a”bolt-on” or”retro-fit” the other sportsbooks in NJ appear to be.
William Hill, which often refers to itself as”America’s #1 Sportsbook,” has the No. 1 place of retail sportsbook branding in New Jersey. It’s locations number 3: Monmouth, Ocean, and Tropicana.
The William Hill Sports Book of ocean is simple to find from the escalators. My first impression of walking in the sportsbook is just”WOW!” The space is large, with almost 360 degrees of information and TV screens. There is also a large pub adjacent to a of the entry spaces.
Besides the array of video/information accessible, there’s also a large number of seating options open with a mix of sofas, chairs, and pub tables.
The entire area is self explanatory without feeling confined, and there’s no doubt you that you get that”big-time sportsbook sense” you might experience on the Las Vegas strip.
Concerning seeing with Ocean Casino, as with all AC resorts, there is self-park options and valet parking. The self-park alternative, which most of the public would consider being the”more affordable” parking option, costs $10 to get non-hotel guests/or guests with no”loyalty” card on the weekend ($5 to weekdays).
The sportsbook has a”theatre in the round” design to it. You are going to be forced to try the”pano” feature on your camera to attempt to take everything in.
Each side of the book allows easy access back into the casino on one side along with the sports bar/casino on the opposite side. There’s a midway region which acts as a walkway to all those crossing over to the bar or into the casino.
The sports bar is attention-grabbing and, if it was only a location that is stand-alone, would be quite a highlight in its own right. Using a bank of TV’s visible from any chair, the 15 seats in the rectangular pub layout all feature a video gaming terminal. Odds and an info screen frame the bar on the ceiling.
There’s seating for 130+ with loads of spaces that are available to stand and see the matches. Every place in the sportsbook affords easy accessibility to see the great number of data boards and HD TV screens inside the area.
There are eight live teller windows located on a single end of the sportsbook. They are well laid-out with ample space between each.
RATING: 5 stars
William Hill does part of Ocean’s layout well as a lot of things, but they do fall here using just two self-serve kiosks.
Very similar to what I observed at the William Hill Monmouth Park sportsbook, there’s a glaring shortage of kiosks onsite. Especially in comparison to the relative size of this space.
RATING: 1 star
The minimum wager quantity at William Hill is $2. That is a positive for the smaller player as the vast majority of NJ books have a minimum for all bets.
The William Hill program are the better option for those seeking to put bet amounts beneath the minimum that is 2.
RATING: 5 stars
You’ll find HD TV screens aplenty as previously stated. When there are several smaller”adjusted” dimension TV screens, nearly all the TV screen design is in a”video walls” format where the size of the displays can be customized based on the current activity.
It’s an impressive and appealing feature that actually creates a dynamic effects. I can’t say enough about how well this sportsbook furnished and has been designed. Top-of-the-line stuff.
RATING: 5 stars
In this large oval area, it is reasonable that there’s ample chairs (130+) plus the space afforded for status sports bettors.
But it’s not just the amount of chairs but also the high quality and options, ranging from multi-person sofas to plush”theatre style” leather seats to bar table/chair options.
There’s something cool and comfy for everybody in William Hill sportsbook. If you’re a New York Jets fan, you’ll have to be there as soon as the sportsbook doors open at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 to receive the best seating choice for the 1 p.m. season opener vs the Buffalo Bills.
It should be said that on days such as the Super Bowl, with sporting events, the sportsbook that was 7,500-square-foot may get very crowded. So on these days, come early to get your chair.
RATING: 5 stars
Even the William Hill Sports Book employees on-site the day of my visit described each of the seating as”first-come, first-serve,” with no accessible pre-reserved seating choices.
But beginning during soccer season, the Skybox Suites in William Hill sportsbook are offered with seating for up to ten guests, for reservations. You can find out more about this particular choice on the casino’s website. We were unable to examine this part of this sportsbook.

While watching a soccer match, the sports bar is the nearest oasis for beverages.
There is some limited server service from the pub during busier days, but otherwise, one needs to belly up to the bar to place an order. Great, but not excellent. This is currently a”drinks-only” pub.
It ought to be mentioned that Ocean AC’s site does tease the”food menu coming to the fall” in the sportsbook. For now, picked up out of a restaurant located throughout the casino gaming courtroom or the casino and any food needs to be purchased.
The options include Fish & Beer Fry Wahlburgers, Starbucks Boss BBQ, and Rocco’s Italian Kitchen & Marketplace. Each the food purchased is permitted to be attracted back in the sportsbook.
RATING: 3.5 stars
While my trip was through a”non-peak” time on the weekend, then the William Hill sportsbook was filled with tellers and supervisors.
The team was conversational and engaging about the sporting events of the upcoming day. The book also definitely posts its own hours of operation, opening at 10 a.m. Monday-Friday along with 9 a.m. on Saturday/Sunday.
The sportsbook personnel also has carried the racks of sheets that were future and daily for the day actions.
RATING: 5.0 stars
Self-parking in Ocean Casino is $ 5 weekdays and $10 weekends, as mentioned before.
Ocean’s fees are at the low end of Atlantic City parking fees, while these fees mean less cash to play at the sportsbook or casino. Sportsbook and the casino are available from the self-parking garage.
RATING: 3.5 stars
There is a bounty of food, drink and casino gaming choices at Ocean Casino and neighboring as this can be Atlantic City.
The only minor negative is Ocean’s location; it is a bit of an outlier from the heart of the casino and boardwalk traffic. This isn’t necessarily a terrible thing and you get the added bonus of several views of the Atlantic out of different areas of the casinogame.
RATING: 4.5 stars
As a part of every sportsbook visit, I am placing a soccer wager for the year old that is forthcoming 2019. Now the NFL futures wagers market is hot at the moment, and it is a great time to spend prior to the odds/totals begin to fluctuate when the season gets underway.
Below is my bet about the Eagles to go 10 wins this year costing $2
The William Hill Sports Book at Ocean Casino is really a”genuine and magnificent” state-of-the-art centre. In other words, it is a really cool spot and also a”must see” for any sports bettor heading into Atlantic City.
There are some easily-remedied areas for improvement for example more kiosks in addition to pub wait staff support in the publication. William Hill/Ocean will add the publication coming this fall, which will be a plus for anyone paying their afternoons and evenings seeing NFL games and all of those college football and a food menu.
